On the Storage System Status screen of ETERNUS Web GUI, check that the
added disks have been recognized.

Set up RAID groups, volumes, hot spares, and Host Affinity settings on the new
disks, as required.

5.2

Installing Drive Enclosures

Optional drive enclosures can be installed while the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system is run-
ning without affecting the system.
This section explains how to install optional drive enclosures.

5.2.1

Installation Rules for Drive Enclosures

Only one drive enclosure can be connected to a 3.5" type controller enclosure.

Drive enclosures cannot be connected to 2.5" type controller enclosures.

5.2.2

Installable Drive Enclosures

shows the installable drive enclosures.
