7.1 Check List

Procedure

Remove the flange cover from the 2.5" type controller enclosure.
Remove the front cover from the 3.5" type controller enclosure.

For details on how to remove the flange cover, refer to

"2.2 Attaching and Removing the

Flange Cover" (page 35)

For details on how to remove the front cover, refer to

"2.3 Attaching and Removing the

Front Cover" (page 37)

Press the IP RESET Switch twice in a row within two seconds.

The setting information related to the network is returned to the factory default.

Re-attach the flange cover from the 2.5" type controller enclosure.
Re-attach the front cover to the 3.5" type controller enclosure.

For details on how to attach the front cover, refer to

Access ETERNUS Web GUI or ETERNUS CLI by using the default IP address
to perform the network environment settings.

Check that the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system can be connected to via
each of the desired network services.

If not, contact your maintenance engineer.

End of procedure

IMPORTANT

Make sure that all of the desired network services are set to
"Enable".

If ETERNUS Web GUI is to be used, set "http" and/or "https" to
"Enable". If "Disable" is set, ETERNUS Web GUI access to the
ETERNUS DX Disk storage system is not allowed.

If ETERNUS CLI is to be used, set "telnet" and/or "SSH" to
"Enable". If "Disable" is set, ETERNUS CLI access to the
ETERNUS DX Disk storage system is not allowed.

If monitoring software is to be used, set "Maintenance" and/or
"Maintenance-Secure" to "Enable". If "Disable" is set, monitoring
software access to the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system is not
allowed.

If the "ping" command is to be used, set "ICMP" to "Enable". If
"Disable" is set, the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system will not
be able to respond to "pings".
