Note –
If the hard disk drive is the boot device, the hard disk will have to be
replaced using cold replacement procedures. However, active replacement can be
used if the boot disk can be isolated from the Solaris OS by disk mirroring software
or other software. The procedure for isolating the hard disk drive from the Solaris
OS varies depending on whether disk mirroring software or other support software
is used. For details, see the relevant software manuals.
