Configuring the PowerSmart
Socket PQM
This chapter describes how to configure the PowerSmart
Socket PQM for your particular environment and application
from the front display and via Power Software. To access
your meter configuration options via Power Software, you
should create a site database for your device as shown in
Chapter 4.
Configuring Communications
Setting Up Serial Communication Ports
Using the Front Display
Select COM1 through COM4 from the main menu. See
Viewing and Changing Setup Options in Chapter 3 for
information on navigating in menus.
See the table below for available communication options.
Using Power Software
Select Communications Setup from the Meter Setup menu,
and then click on the Serial Ports Setup tab. In the Port box,
select the desired device port.
To change the port settings in your device, select desired port
parameters, and then click Send.
The following table lists available port options.
