Black Text Automatic Exposure Adjustment
priority

Use Black Text Automatic Exposure Adjustment to have the copy
module automatically adjust the amount of exposure used when
copying black text originals. The copy module will prescan black text
originals. The copy module uses a prescanned image to determine
the exposure (light/dark) settings of the copy to match the original.

The values for Black Text Automatic Exposure Adjustment are:

!

Speed Priority

!

Image Quality Priority

The Image Quality Priority setting in Black Text Automatic Exposure
Adjustment means that the copy module will prescan your original,
adjust the exposure accordingly, and make the copy. This will ensure
that you are receiving high quality black text copies. Speed Priority
eliminates some of the processes the copy module must perform in
Image Quality Priority, because you will make exposure adjustments
on the touch panel display.

Note

The factory default setting for Black Text Automatic Exposure
Adjustment is Speed Priority.
