Basic parts of the optional ADF
The diagram below outlines the parts of the optional ADF.

1 Input tray: This tray feeds originals through the optional ADF.
2 Tray extension: The extension pulls out to support large-size
originals of 11 by 17 in, Legal or A3, or to support rotated Letter
or A4 originals (Letter-R or A4-R).
3 Original output bin: This bin collects the originals that have
been fed through the optional ADF.
4 Media-width guides: These guides adjust the input tray to match
the size of the originals being copied.
5 ADF cover: The cover opens to allow the removal of jammed
media.
