Clearing media jams
Media jams primarily occur in two areas when the optional ADF is
used:
! in the input tray
! in the original output bin
The following sections detail how to remove media jams from both
areas of the copy module.
Clearing media jams in the input tray
If a media jam occurs in the optional ADF, the
OPEN THE FEEDER
COVER AND REMOVE THE JAMMED PAPER
message appears. See the
removal procedures described on the screen for instructions. Follow
the procedures on the next page to clear the jammed original.
