Working with Container Attributes

Displaying a Mirror Set Create State

The

mirror set create state

attribute indicates the creation

of a mirror set.

To display whether a container is in the mirror set create state, use
the

container list

command with the

/full

switch, as in the

following example. In the example, the State column indicates
Create

, which means that a

mirror set create

operation is

occurring on container 0. (Note that the example eliminates some
items in the

container list

display to make the example

readable on this page.)

HPN0> container list /full=TRUE

Executing: container list /full=TRUE

Cluster Num Total Oth Stripe Scsi

Dr Partner Label Type Size Ctr Size Usage C:ID:L State

-- ------- ----- ------ ------ --- ------ ------- ------ ------

0 0 Volume 100MB None 2:01:0 Create

Displaying a Mirror Set Normal State

The

mirror set normal

state attribute indicates that a mirror set

is in the normal state. Typically the CLI displays mirror set normal
state upon successful completion of a

mirror create

operation.

See Chapter 7 for information on how to create a mirror set.

To display whether a container is in the mirror set normal state, use
the

container list

command with the

/full

switch, as in the

following example. In the example, the State column indicates
Normal

, which means that container 0 is in the normal state. (Note

that the example eliminates some items in the

container list

display to make the example readable on this page.)

HPN0> container list /full=TRUE

Cluster Num Total Oth Stripe Scsi

Understanding Reconfiguration State Attributes

The

reconfiguration state

attributes indicate a container’s

use during a

container reconfiguration

operation. Table 6-9

lists the reconfiguration state attributes, the CLI operations
