command has no attributes.

Understanding How to Extend a File System on a Container

This section provides an example that describes how to extend a file
system on a container.

Before extending a file system, use the

container list

command

to display information about your containers, as in the following
example. In the example, the Usage column indicates that an NTFS
file system resides on container 0.

HPN0> container list

Executing: container list

Cluster Num Total Oth Stripe Scsi Partition

Dr Partner Label Type Size Ctr Size Usage C:ID:L Offset:Size

-- ------- ----- ------ ------ --- ------ ------- ------ -------------

F: 0 0 Volume 100MB NTFS 2:01:0 64.0KB: 100MB

To extend your file system, use the

container reconfigure

command with the /extend switch, as in the following example. In
the example, the /extend switch extends the file system on container
0

to occupy the entire container. Note that you must reboot your sys-

tem to effect the file system extension.

HPN0> container reconfigure /extend=TRUE 0

Executing: container reconfigure /extend=TRUE 0

The system has been marked to expand the file system on the

next reboot.

Reboot the system to get the file system to expand to show the

new space.

After running the

container reconfigure

command to extend

a file system and rebooting your system, use the

container list

command to display information about the file system, as in the fol-
lowing example. In the example, there are no changes to any of the
listed items.

HPN0> container list

Executing: container list
