6.6 Progress tones

Introduction

Progress tone is general name for all tones and announcements played within the PbX. After creating

new database has PbX set of default progress tones. Amount of progress tones and language

alternations depends on installed language packages. This basic set could be extended with own files,

tones or by connecting of external audio inputs (e.g. mp3 player). Whole menu is logicaly divided into

couple of tabs.

Progress list

The progress tone represents complete tone, which is used for playing to the user. Each progress has

to contain minimally one source.

Progress list
In this part of tab Progress list you can find all defined progresses of your PbX. You can also find

here progress tones created by the user. Via context menu from this part you can use following

functions:
Add – With this option you can add new progress.
Rename – With this option you can rename selected progress.
Delete – With this option you can delete selected progress.
Delete all – With this option you can delete all progresses.
Add default progresses – With this option you can complete default set of progresses if some of

them were deleted. Changes made within default progresses are preserved and progresses created

by user aren't changed or deleted.
Restore default progresses – With this option you can setup default set of progresses to their

basic form. Progresses created by user aren't changed or deleted.

Information about progress
Name
– Parameter shows only name of selected progress and it can't be configured within this

section.
Number – Number of progress used within the services for recording, playing and deleting user's

progresses.
Allow sharing progress – With this parameter you can enable sharing of selected progress for more

listeners. This way you can spare internal players of the PbX. When this option is checked then

progress isn't played from the beginning, but from the actual position. That's why is this function

used mostly for Music on Hold and similar progresses.
Language – Selection of language for playing the progress.
Duration [s] – It shows length of progress.
Actualize – It is used for updating information about selected progress.
