Create an RSFieldbus Software Project Chapter 3
Design Templates Templates save time and provide consistency to your projects. This section
describes how to create a base template and how to import and export the
template into projects.
Create a Device or Bridge Template
Do these steps to create a device or bridge template. This base template can be
used for the same block type for other projects.
1. From the RSFieldbus main menu, click New and choose
Bridge Template.
The New Bridge Template dialog box appears.
2. Choose the Manufacturer, Device Type, and Device Rev.
3. Enter a device tag name.
TIP You also can choose Device Template from the New pull-down
menu. For our example, we will create a bridge template.
Procedures are the same for creating a device template.
