Understanding the Master Library
The master program library provides a centralized and secure library management
system where project files are maintained and archived. Project files can be inserted
into the master library from any directory. You can maintain as many as four
generations of project files. Each generation is stored in a different directory that
you can define. See chapter 6 for more information about backup files.
Approving a Master File
Each time you approve a file as the master file, the files previously stored in the
master and backup directories shift to the next generation. See Figure 4.1.
