Ad Hoc Class Presentation

Ad Hoc Class presentation’s follow similar steps to the previous existing class presentation section
except that the students names are entered manually to create the class. Follow these steps to
create and run Ad hoc classes with pebble pad hardware.

Select the Ad Hoc Class option from with the Presentation area of ClassComm

Select the Presentation Mode required

Click “New Class” from the Ad Hoc Class Pane in the bottom-right pane of the ClassComm
interface.

Enter the student names manually pressing the enter key after each name is input (note that
an automatic mapping key is generated against the name)

Students can now enter their mapping key followed by “Lock” key on their individual
handsets. The Lock key has a key image on it and is located in the bottom-right of the
pebble pad student handsets.

Use the “Remap” button to unlock any student that has been incorrectly mapped allowing
them to remap with the correct key.

After mapping is successfully completed, a green box with a tick will appear in the “Login
Status” column.

Press “Stop Mapping” once all students have successfully mapped their handsets to their
name and then press “OK”.

The mapping window will close and the Student Register will update all connected students.

In the Ad Hoc Class pane, enter the Class Name, Teacher name and class information and
press the “Save” button. Note that only saved classes can be used to run a presentation.

Press “Present Activity” to run the presentation.
