Preparing media items for playout

The Asset tab

Under the Asset tab, you can view details of key properties of an asset and edit some of these.

Some properties are relevant only to certain asset types. For example, only video clips and

audio clips have in- and out-points.

You can:

Change the name and title of an asset.

Set an availability flag.

Change the production date.

Specify a usage window and time slot.

Edit the timing properties of a video clip or an audio clip.

Specify aspect-ratio details – AFD values (Source Format and Active Region).

Specify normal or reverse field order for a video clip.

Select a vision effect.

Mark a video clip as a 3D video clip and specify the 3D playout mode.

Adjust audio properties – lip sync and volume level.

Change the name or title of an asset

Enter a new name or title in the Name or Title box.

Set the availability flag

The Clip Available flag provides information that you can view in the Schedule Grid; it does not

affect playout.

Select the Available check box if an asset is available for playout; clear the check box if the

asset is not available for playout.
