Environmental considerations
For optimal performance, operate or store your Brocade FGS or FGS-STK device in compliance with
the following environmental conditions.
Cooling
FGS or FGS-STK devices have two single-speed fans that operate simultaneously to cool the CPU,
main memory, and voltage regulators. If one fan fails, it does not affect the operation of the other
fan. The fans use either a push or pull configuration to move the air from the left side of the device
to the right side of the device as shown in
Figure 47
