1. Disconnect the power cord of the fax unit from its power source.
2. Lift the document feeder tray, and gently open the ADF cover
until it stops, grasping the document feeder tray and the ADF
cover at the same time.
3. While holding the ADF cover open with one hand, use one finger
of your other hand to gently push in the black plastic loop to
separate it from the stub on the fax machine.
