VX76 SOFTWARE USER MANUAL

Ethernet Configuration

The Ethernet settings for properly prepped consoles should be suitable for operation and will not require any
configuration. However, if improper settings are detected, the Ethernet window can be used to resolve errors.

To view/change settings:

At Setup menu, select Ethernet.

The Ethernet window displays the current status of the Ethernet network, and offers a
method for auto-configuration in the event there is a problem.

The Vx76 control network is designed to work on the 10.67.x.x subnet. One of the
computer's built-in ports should be configured to an address in this subnet. If the software cannot find an active port
set to that subnet, then an error message will be displayed on the front panel, and the Ethernet dialog will be
displayed. If the problem is the port configuration, the Auto-Configure button will modify the network settings
accordingly. If this does not work, check the physical connections to the back of the computer, or replace the
Ethernet/USB cable to the front panel.

Indicates that the network
device configuration is valid.

Indicates that there is an
active link on the port.

Indicates whether system
traffic has been seen on the
port.
