The Curved A-B Guidance Mode

The Curved A-B Guidance Mode

The Curve AB guidance mode works similar to Straight-Line mode except it provides vehicle guidance along curved
lines, based on a curved reference guideline. The first step is to establish the reference guideline. This reference
guideline is used to calculate all other parallel guidelines. See “Marking Point A” on page 3-56 and “Marking Point
B” on page 3-57 fo
r more detail on how to establish a reference guideline.

To mark the initial point A, begin driving along the first swath path Figure 3-65. It is recommended that the
reference guideline be established along the longest side of the field, if possible, because the curved guide-
lines do not extend beyond the A and B points Figure 3-66.
Beyond the Marked A and B points straight
line guidance is implemented.
While the vehicle is driving along the initial swath, the lightbar displays
<MARK A>. As the vehicle passes over the desired A location, press the Enter button or use the touch screen to
establish the guideline point A.
