Applied Area Detection

SmartPad II software allows you to detect when the vehicle has entered a previously applied area. You can also setup
SmartPad II to notify you when you are approaching a previously marked hazard, see “Hazard Detection” on page 3-
72. T
o use applied area detection the Lightbar Setup - Alarm menu field needs to be setup prior to starting guidance.
See Chapter 2 - Lightbar Setup section of this User Guide for more details on how to set up this menu field.

Detecting A Previously Applied Area

Figure 3-88 and Figure 3-89 show how previously applied area detection works. As the vehicle enters a previously
applied area, the lightbar displays the message APPLIED and the Red stop lights illuminate. If the vehicle continues
to apply product while driving in a previously applied area the SmartPad alarm will sound. If product applications is
turned off while in a previously applied area the alarm will not sound. Once the vehicle exits the previously applied
area the Red stop light will turn off or changes to Green if product application is turned on. The Green illuminated
stop light indicates that the vehicle is completely outside of a previously applied area and product application should
be turned on.
