To Paste from the Remote or Front Panel
Press the TRACK button on the HDR front panel or Remote 48. This will launch the

Track

Edit menu. Press the SELECT button for Paste. The Paste submenu will then show:

(Selection)

Start, Paste and Insert

By default the Selection Start will be set as it exists when the menu was entered, and will be
displayed across the top line of the LCD. Within the

Paste submenu you can also capture

the Current Time to this setting by pressing the corresponding SELECT button for

Start

after positioning the Transport as desired. Track Selection is accomplished with the Record
Arming buttons and will be indicated by an illuminated Track LED on the Remote or Front
Panel. Note that any previously armed tracks will show as selected for this operation. This
Paste submenu will remain in effect while you settle on your desired Selection Start point
and during this time all Transport and GUI selection features will be active. You can for
example, mouse-modify the Selection Start point in the GUI Tools panel (as explained
elsewhere), or jog the Current Time into position for capturing the Selection Start point here
within the

Paste submenu. In either case the changing parameters will be updated

everywhere.

When you have set this Start point (the point at which the Paste operation will be executed),
then press either

Paste or Insert. From the Remote and front panel these two

commands represent the standard Paste operation (

Paste) and the Paste with

Splice Mode

On (

Insert) respectively.

Paste Repeat
The Paste Repeat command pastes multiple copies of the clipboard contents to the selected track.
The Paste operation is repeated automatically for a specified number of times, separated by a
specified time interval. By default this separation-timing interval is equal to the length of the
clipboard contents, so that the pasted regions can easily be placed end-to-end. You can also edit
this interval in the Paste Repeat dialog. For example a short drum hit could be placed on a
repeat interval of four beats for the duration of a song to help the players count out the measures.

To Paste Repeat the Clipboard contents, do one of the following:

·

Pull down the Edit menu and select Paste Repeat

·

Use the keyboard shortcut [C

TRL

+p].

The Paste Repeat dialog box will pop
up.

• Enter the number of copies to be

pasted (defaults to 1),

• Edit if necessary the starting time of

the string of repeats (defaults to the
current time).

• Edit if necessary the interval

between the repeats. Default
interval is the length of the selection
so that copies get pasted end to end with no gaps.

Click OK.
