DIO•8

The DIO-8 card accommodates both the ADAT Lightpipe
and TDIF interface formats. Select TDIF or ADAT from the
pull-down Input and Output menus for each DIO-8 card. A
card need not have the same format for both input and
output, nor do all the cards need to be set up the same.
DIO-8 cards may also be used for converting between
ADAT and TDIF, in either direction. To use the HDR24/96
as a format converter, select TD->AD or AD->TD from the
Output pull-down options.

PDI•8

Clicking the SETUP button for a PDI-8 card opens a new
dialog box for setting sample rate conversion and channel
status bits.
Click the check box of each input channel-pair that you
want to be converted from its incoming sample rate to the
recorder’s sample rate.
Similarly for each input channel-pair, click the
Pro/Consumer button to select the desired status from a
pull-down menu.

Tempo Map

If a tempo map has been loaded, this window displays each
tempo change, the measure and beat at which it occurred,
and the tempo at that measure.
To load a tempo map, click the LOAD button to open a file
manager dialog box from which to select the MIDI file
containing the tempo map.
NOTE: Even if the MIDI file you wish to load is located on
the internal or external hard drive, it will look on the floppy
drive first. Be sure to insert a formatted floppy disk even if
it contains no MIDI files.
When a tempo map has been loaded, the tempo at the
current time is displayed as the Active Tempo. This
changes as you move through the project past mapped
tempo changes.
Click the RESET button to clear the tempo map and revert
to the Default Tempo.

Default

Tempo

This selects the fixed tempo for which the BBT display is
calculated. Edit the tempo by clicking in the box or clicking
on the up/down buttons adjacent to the Default Tempo
display.
NOTE: The Default Tempo can also be set with
Selection to Tempo function in the Edit menu.

MIDI

Song Offset

Shifts the BBT time value displayed in Time Bar and
Current Time display by the amount of the Song Offset. By
setting the Song Offset to whatever the time code value is
at the first down beat, the HDR24/965 will display BBT time
of 1:01:000 at the beginning of the song.
