You can add various switches to the command line that the Client shortcut uses
to start the Client. To change the command line, right-click the Client shortcut
icon, choose

Properties

, and then click the Shortcut tab. The

Target

field shows

the command line.

Add switches to the end of the command line with a space before the switch. You
can add multiple switches separated by spaces. For example:

C:\Program Files\Strata CS Client\TVClient.exe /Server:Strata CS /station=77

The command line switches for the Client are:

n

/allowmultiple

. Enables you to run multiple instances of the Client at the

same time on your computer. This is useful for agents of an ACD
workgroup who want to log on to one Client to answer call center calls,
and another Client to manage personal calls to their extensions. See the
example in the next section.

n

/Server

. (Syntax: /Server=<Servername>, for example, /Server=Strata

CS

). Runs the Client against a specific Strata CS Server on your network.

This is useful when you want to have one Client session using a Server
other than the one your Client runs against by default.

n

/station

. (Syntax: /station=<station ID>, for example, /station=77.)

Makes your Client use a specific Strata CS phone.

n

/user /password

. (Syntax: /user=<username> /password=<password>,

for example, /user:Charles Gould /password:2112. The two switches
can be used separately.) Use to automatically log on to the Client as a
specific user. This is useful for agents of an ACD workgroup who run two
Clients. They can set up two Client shortcuts with different /user and
/password switches, so that they can launch both and automatically log on
to both.
