Universal Commands

Universal commands are commands that can be issued anywhere in the hierarchical
tree.

Top and Up commands

The

Up

command moves you up to the next highest level in the CLI command

hierarchy. The

Top

command moves you to the highest level.

Retstatus command

Use the

retstatus

command to show whether the last CLI command you

performed was successful. It displays the return status of the previous command.
The syntax for this command is:

retstatus

Output Example:

P330 # set port negotiation 2/4 disable

Link negotiation protocol disabled on port 2/4.

Tree command

The

tree

command displays the commands that are available at your current

location in the CLI hierarchy.
The syntax for this command is:

tree
