3.3.2 Vertical Pole Installation
3.3.2.1 Round Pole
The following process is for a typical installation. Custom systems may be ordered, but
are not covered in this manual.
To install the RFTs to a round vertical pole:
1. Set the units on their sides, with the mounting holes facing up.
2. Install the 8 inch (20.3 cm) unistruts as follows:
a. Position an 8 inch (20.3 cm)
unistrut (with the open side
facing up) over one set of the
mounting holes on the RFT.
b. Using four 1/4-20 x 1 inch
(25 mm) bolts, 1/4 inch
(6 mm) split lockwashers, and
1/4 inch (6 mm) flat washers,
attach an 8 inch (20.3 cm)
unistrut to the RFT.
Tighten the bolts firmly.
c. Repeat Steps 2.a. and 2.b. for
each of the remaining 8 inch
(20.3 cm) unistruts (for a total
of four).
