Configurations

Each QUAD 2164 module can aggregate up to four T1 or E1s. Two
QUAD 2164 modules can be paired with an IMUX 2160 module to
provide a single router with 12 Mbit/s from T1 or 16 Mbit/s for E1.
To distribute the bandwidth of four T1 or E1s across two routers,
pair a single QUAD 2164 module with two IMUX 2160 modules (one
for each router).

Inverse Multiplexer provides an essential link between high
bandwidth applications and carrier services. Built as an alternative
to DS3 services, Inverse Multiplexer provides the ability to meet the
increased bandwidth required by applications such as high-speed
LAN and high-resolution video conferencing.

One QUAD 2164,

One IMUX 2160

Pairing a single QUAD 2164 module with an IMUX 2160 module
fitted with a V.35 rear interface connector provides up to 6 Mbit/s
(T1) or 8 Mbit/s (E1) of usable bandwidth.

Two QUAD 2164,

One IMUX 2160

One IMUX 2160 module fitted with a HSSI rear interface module and
two QUAD 2164 modules can achieve a T1 bandwidth of 12 Mbit/s,
or an E1 bandwidth of 16 Mbit/s.
