Field Name

Description

N

NMS Address—Selects or displays the Verilink ACP address for Node Manager (the

address of the PC that will receive the alarms). This is not any kind of TCP/IP

address, although it has the same four-octet structure. The first octet of this field

must never be lower than 128.

D

Alarm Declare Time—Selects or displays how many seconds will elapse before a

error message is activated.

A

Card Alarm Reporting—Use this option to enable or disable alarms reported from

the card to the alarm buffer and screen display. This option must be enabled to

allow normal operation of the critical line restoral feature.

Pn

Port Alarm Reporting—Use this option to enable or disable alarms reported from

each port to the alarm buffer and screen display. This option must be enabled for

each port being used by the associated IMUX 2160 module to allow normal

operation of the critical line restoral feature.

Ln

Line Restore—Use this option to determine under what circumstances a T1 port

previously removed from service will be restored after the failure clears. This

option is critical to normal QUAD/IMUX operation. See the section

Line Restoral

Options

in this chapter.

Cn

CRC Threshold—Use this option to specify the maximum number of CRC errors

that can occur during a 15-minute integration period before the line is removed

from service.

Sn

SES Threshold—Use this option to specify the maximum number of Severely

Errored Seconds errors that can occur before the line is removed from service.

Un

UAS Threshold—Use this option to specify the maximum number of Unavailable

Seconds errors that can occur before the line is removed from service.
