21. Use the “P1”, “P2”, “P3”, and “P4” commands to enable alarm
reporting for all 4 ports.
22. The default value for Line Restoral, OFF OFF OFF OFF, selects a mode in
which failed T1 circuits are never restored to service. This is
unlikely to be desirable. One of the alternate values,
MANUAL MANUAL MANUAL MANUAL,
has exactly the same effect—since a failed and then recovered
T1 is never restored to service until a different value is
selected. The value
AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO is preferable because a failed T1 is
placed back into service when it has been clear of trouble for
the number of seconds indicated in the
Clear Interval Clear Interval Clear Interval Clear Interval field. Use
the ”L1”, “L2”, “L3”, and “L4” commands to set all four T1
circuits to
AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO for Line Restoral.
