CAUTION:

The PSU is rather heavy, so use one hand to support its weight when pulling it out with the other hand.

If the PSU slot is to remain empty, install a blank filler panel to prevent dust from getting in and ensure
good ventilation of the chassis.

Installing a PSU

Follow these steps to install a PSU:

Step1

Put on an ESD-preventive wrist strap and take a new PSU out of the package. Check that the PSU

conforms to the power input.

Step2

With one hand holding the PSU handle and the other hand supporting the bottom of the PSU, gently

push it into the chassis along the slot until it is in good contact with the PSU connector on the backplane.

CAUTION:

Insert the PSU straight and steadily. Make sure the PSU is not inserted upside down.

To avoid breaking or tilting the PSU terminals, if the PSU is not well aligned with the connector on the
backplane, be sure to pull it out and insert it again.

Step3

Tighten the captive screws to secure the PSU in the place.

CAUTION:

If the captive screws cannot be tightened, carefully check whether the PSU is properly seated.

Removing and installing a board

The main control boards and switch interface board of the WX6103 access controller are similar in

common for these boards.
