Configure the IP addresses for both sides, which must be on the same subnet. For example, set the IP

address of the TFTP server to 192.168.0.1, and that of the access controller’s management Ethernet

interface to 192.168.0.2. Then use the ping command to verify the network connectivity.

Step3

After setting up the environment, view the files in the current file system by using the dir command.

Backing up the application and configuration files

To backup wx6103.bin on the access controller by saving it as wx6103.bin on the TFTP server, use the

following command.

<H3C>tftp 192.168.0.1 put wx6103.bin wx6103.bin

File will be transferred in binary mode

CAUTION:

When you back up a file to the server, this file will overwrite a file that has the same name on the server.

Upgrading the application and configuration files

To download wx6103.bin from the TFTP server to the access controller and save it as wx6103.bin, use the

following command.

<H3C>tftp 192.168.0.1 get wx6103.bin wx6103.bin

If a file with the same name already exists on the access controller, the system will ask you whether to

overwrite the existing file. Enter Y to overwrite it, or N to abort.

The file wx6103.bin exists. Overwrite it?[Y/N]:y
