Installing a board

Follow these steps to install a board:

Step1

Put on an ESD-preventive wrist strap, loosen the captive screws on the blank filler panel where the board

is to be installed, and remove the blank filler panel.

Step2

Turn the board ejector levers outward, and gently push the board straight into the chassis along the

guide rails until the positioning pin of the board touches the positioning hole on the chassis.

Step3

Pivot the ejector levers inward until they press against the front panel so that the board is well seated on

the backplane.

Step4

Tighten the fastening screws to secure the board in place.

NOTE:

Keep the removed blank filler panel properly for future use.

When installing or removing a board, be sure to keep the board in parallel with the slot to avoid
touching other parts in the chassis.
