2. Connect the female end of the sync cable to the SYNC OUT port of one SierraNet
M168.

Analyzers
Connecting to Sierra FC M8-4 and Sierra M164 Analyzers via the CATC Sync Expansion
Card
You can connect and control any of the following analyzers:
SierraNet M168
Sierra FC M8‐4
Sierra M164
Select File > New Project to display the Add Device to Project dialog (see
). Select the desired analyzer and click OK.
You can also create hybrid Ethernet/FC traces when the SierraNet M168 is daisy‐chained
to either of the devices (using the sync cards).
This is similar to the CrossSync functionality, but is done internal to the application,
automatically.
You can connect to any of the off‐line devices to create a dummy project and use the
project when you are connected to a device.
