System Operations

Network Connection - Since the network hardware may
function at a variety of speeds and modes, the FrameScope
Pro has the ability to autonegotiate its speed and mode when
it is connected to the network. The autonegotiation attempts
to configure the devices for the fastest supported network
connection. If necessary, you can manually set the
FrameScope Pro for 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, or 1000 Mbps and
full or half duplex mode (for Gigabit Ethernet, only full
duplex mode is available). This may be used, for example, to
prove that a 10/100 switch can properly support the 10 Mbps
speed. You can also select whether to use a fibre or copper
interface.

Flow Control (enable or disable) - If Flow Control is enabled,
the FrameScope Pro will transmit flow control packets (XON
and XOFF frames) based on the MAC FIFO fullness.

Press Next when done to access the fourth Test Port Settings
Setup screen.

VLAN Support - The FrameScope Pro supports C-VLAN
(IEEE 802.1q) and P-VLAN (IEEE 802.1ad) tagging.
