Active Discovery - Select to enable or clear to disable. When
the FrameScope Pro is attached to a switch port, it only sees
the broadcast traffic and traffic targeted for the FrameScope
Pro. When Active Discovery is enabled, the FrameScope Pro
requests information from the devices on the network to
increase the amount of information the FrameScope Pro can
learn from the network.

Erase Station List - Select to enable or clear to disable. The
FrameScope Pro automatically discovers stations on the
network it is connected to and shows these stations on the
Main Menu screen. You can refresh this station list by
removing and reconnecting the physical link (for example,
fiber or copper cable) when the Erase Station List feature is
enabled.
N O T E
Active Discovery will affect the network and, in some cases, trigger some
alarms. For a list of the activity, refer to
Process” on page 201. Take extreme care when using Active Discovery.
