2 Network Testing with the FrameScope Pro
Performing a MAC or IP Loopback Tests
The master FrameScope Pro sends periodic MAC-level or
IP-level messages to the slave FrameScope Pro with
user-defined periodic intervals. The slave FrameScope Pro
echoes back each of these messages. The master FrameScope
Pro will record the number of transmitted, received, and error
frames, as well as the current, average, minimum, and
maximum frame delays.
To perform the test, follow the procedure below.
1 Press MAC Loopback or IP Loopback on the Performance Tests
menu.
N O T E
The MAC loopback test only works within the subnet (not
applicable across routers).
