It is the host computer's responsibility to poll Producer CL at a rate ad-
equate to obtain the status information. Status information is fleeting - as
the machine changes states and processes cassettes, the status of any and
all of these fields will change. If the host computer polls too infrequently,
state changes can be missed. The Producer CL software will not queue or
retain state changes in any way.
