Maintenance

1512A-UM102B-EN-P – June 2013

To avoid shock hazards, lock out incoming power (see

page 5-3) before working on the equipment. Verify

with a hot stick or other appropriate voltage measur-

ing device that all circuits are voltage free. Failure to

do so may result in severe burns, injury or death.

1) Complete the Power Lockout Procedure (see page 5-3).
2) Inspect the grounding of the isolation switch blades. When the isola-

tion switch handle is in the OFF position, the isolation switch blades

must fully engage the grounding pins and be within 0.06 in. (1.5

mm) of the ground bar (see Figure 5-3). When the isolation switch

handle is in the ON position, the blades must fully engage the

incoming line stabs.

3) To adjust the distance from the blades to the bar, disconnect the

threaded connecting rod at the handle operating lever. Refer to

Figure 5.11.

4) Turn the threaded connecting rod to lengthen or shorten it. This

will adjust the position of the isolation switch blades in the ON and

OFF position.
