Igniter-Injector Inspection and Replacement – Continued

7. Prior to reinstalling the igniter-injector, apply a high temperature, conductive, anti-seize

compound to the threads.

NOTE

The igniter-injector replacement kit (P/N 58023) includes three
clocking (indexing) washers, which are used, as needed, so that
when the igniter-injector is fastened in place, the gas injector tube is
pointing outward, toward the intake manifold perimeter.

8. Refer to Figure 6-2 and reinstall the igniter-injector on the intake manifold

flange. Install one to three clocking washers, as needed, to position the igniter-
injector’s gas tube so that it is pointing outward, toward the outer-edge of the
intake manifold flange. Torque to 15 ft-lbs. Do not over tighten. DO NOT over
tighten.

9. Connect the ignition assembly to the gas injector tube of the igniter-injector by

securing the compression nut to the elbow of the ignition assembly.

10. Reconnect the igniter-injector cable.

11. Reinstall the covers onto the unit, turn on power and return to service.
