‘Add External Interface’ page

‘Add External Interface’ page

The ‘Add External Interface’ page starts a sequence of steps, in multiple pages, in which you
create a new external interface definition. There are two ways to get the ‘Add External Interface’
page:

Click the ‘Add External Interface’ button at the bottom of the ‘External Interfaces’ page (of
the ‘Configuration’ pane).

Click ‘Add External Interface’ in the ‘Tasks’ pane.

This is the ‘Add External Interface’ page:

This page, as the start of a sequence, provides several fields that identify the basic properties of
an external interface:

Name

Host

Protocol

Control Point

Params

At the bottom of the page are buttons that allow you to move through the sequence of steps in
external interface definition:

Previous

Next

Finish

Cancel

The buttons are grayed out (disabled) until they become applicable. For instance, you cannot
use the ‘Previous’ button (to go to a previous page) until you have used the ‘Next’ button to go
to one of the next pages.
