(1) Several control panels have displays. A display can show a fixed number of entries from
potentially large lists. A page is a displayable segment of a list. Lists can be salvos, destina-
tions, levels, etc.

(2) Some control panel s have several sets of button functions. For example, the NV9605
have 4 sets of button functions. Each set is called a page.

(3) NV9000-SE Utilities has many configuration windows. These are generally called pages.

PGSE

Panel, GUI, and Salvo Editor. This is archaic and now obsolete software.

PIN

Personal Identification Number. This is an obsolete concept, never actually implemented in
NV9000-SE Utilities.

RCS

Router Control System (the software running in a system controller)

RU

Rack Units. A standard measure for router frames and other rack-mountable device enclo-
sures A rack unit is 1.75 inches (44.45 mm).

SD

Standard Definition. Video signal rates: SMPTE 259M at 143, 177, 270 and 360 Mb/s and
SMPTE 344 M at 540 Mb/s.

A term meaning the name of a control panel. Such names are used in the control system to
indicate who (i.e., which panel) “owns” a lock or protect.
