Cleaning

Biological fluids - Follow this procedure if the

fluid path is in contact with biological fluids such

as blood products:

1 Make a solution of 10% bleach by adding one

part of commercial bleach to nine parts of water.

2 Prime the fluid path using the bleach solution

until the entire fluid path has come into contact

with bleach.

3 Pause the priming sequence.

4 After 30 minutes, resume priming the fluid path

using distilled or deionized water to pump the

remaining bleach solution from the tubing into a

waste container. Prime the fluid path a minimum

of 10 cycles with distilled or deionized water.

5 When you’re satisfied that the entire fluid path

has been flushed with water, end the priming

sequence.
