Automatic Call Distribution

Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) is an optional feature. The ACD feature is
used when a large number of incoming calls are answered by a group of
ACD-assigned telephones. Incoming calls are served on a first-in, first-out
basis and are distributed among the available telephones so that the agent
position that has been idle the longest is provided with the first call. This
guarantees that incoming calls are distributed equally to all agents.
