The the ABM or HP
Digital Sender Link is
running very slowly.



There might be too many programs running on the computer. Try
closing open programs that you are not using. Also, try restarting
the computer.



There might not be enough free space on your computer’s hard
drive. Free up space on your computer by removing unneeded
files.



Data on your computer’s hard drive might be fragmented. Run Disk
Defragmenter. Click Start, point to Programs, Accessories,
System Tools, and then click Disk Defragmenter. For more
information, see the Windows documentation.

You are not receiving
e-mail confirmation of
fax transmissions.



The name you typed at the control panel does not match your user
name, or your e-mail address is not correct in your user profile in
the ABM. At the control panel, type your user name exactly as it
appears in your user profile. Start the ABM. In the main window,
see how your name is listed. Click the address book for your user
name. On the File menu, click Properties. Check that your e-mail
address is correctly entered in the Address field.



Your company’s LAN fax program might not be configured correctly
or might not support notification. Contact the administrator.



The fax transmission might still be pending or the digital sender
has simply not received notification back from the LAN fax server.
Check your activity log for status information, or have the
administrator check on pending faxes.

You are not receiving
e-mail confirmation of
e-mail transmissions.



In your user profile in the ABM, the e-mail notification check box is
not selected or your e-mail address is not entered correctly. In the
ABM main window, click the address book for your user name. On
the File menu, click Properties. Select the Delivery Notification
check box. Also, make sure that your e-mail address is properly
entered in the Address field.



Your company’s e-mail server might not support notification, or one
of the links to the receiving e-mail address might not support
notification. Contact the administrator.

The icon for the HP
Digital Sender Link is
not on the Windows
taskbar.



The setting to show the icon is not selected. In Windows Control
Panel, double-click the HP Digital Sender Link icon. Click the
Setting tab. Make sure the Show icon on taskbar check box is
selected.



If the HP Digital Sender Link is closed, the icon does not show. To
start the program or check if it is running, click Start, point to
Programs, then HP 9100C, and click HP Digital Sender Link.

The HP Digital Sender
Link will not start.

There is a problem with the version of the HP Digital Sender Link that
is installed on the computer. Install the HP Digital Sender Link again.
