Connecting the Adapter to
the Network
1. Remove power from the drive.
2. Use static control precautions.
3. Connect a Remote I/O cable to the controller or create a daisy-chain
from another device on the Remote I/O network (see
).
Important: Maximum cable length depends on the Remote I/O baud
rate. See
Selecting Remote I/O Cables on page 2-1
details.

4. Route the other end of the Remote I/O cable through the bottom of the
drive (
