5. Hold the board at each end and carefully rock the board back and

forth until the edge connectors pull free.

6. Store the board in an anti-static wrapper.

7. Install and secure a slot cover over the open slot. Tighten the screw

to a torque of 6 - 8 in–lbs (0.7 - 0.9 N•m).

8. Reinstall the screws to secure the top cover to the chassis. Tighten

the screws to a torque of 6 - 8 in–lbs (0.7 - 0.9 N•m).

The RAC6182 processor board contains one standard DIMM socket.
The DIMM memory can be upgraded or replaced.

ATTENTION: DIMM memory modules are sensitive to
ESD and require careful handling. Hold memory
modules only by the edges--do not touch connectors.
After removing a module, place it into an anti-static
wrapper. Do not slide the module over any surface.

To access the DIMM socket:

1. Turn off power to the RAC6182.

2. Remove the 2 screws securing the top cover to the chassis.

3. Locate the DIMM socket on the processor board.
