2.3.4.4 MDSO Channel Speed Selection

There are two additional sets of switches and a jumper associated with each channel which must be set to correctly set up the
frequency to be used for each channel. One set of switches and the jumpers are located on the upper board. The other set of
switches are located on the lower board.

The upper board switches set the multiple of the base frequency that is selected, 56 or 64Kbps. An associated jumper must
be set to select 56 or 64Kbps, and must also agree with the setting of the global switch, SW3-1. The lower board switch is set
differently, depending upon whether the mode is set to low or high speed. In addition to the switch settings, jumpers W1/W2,
W3/W4, W5/W6, and W7/W8 located on the upper board, must be set. Reference Table 2-D for jumper and switch settings,
and Figure 2-10 shows switch and jumper location.
