4.11 Upgrade Software
The software may be upgraded through a TFTP connection over the Ethernet port or through the serial port by performing
a download operation from a PC. The remote Mux can also be upgraded through the Remote Unit Download option as shown
on the Software Upgrade screen. From the Main Menu select '4' or Software Upgrade' then 'Enter.' A software upgrade screen
will appear as referenced in Figure 4-31. Further instructions as well as a copy of the README text file for downloading the
software is included in Appendix B.
4.11.1 TFTP Software Upgrade
From the Software Upgrade Menu select '1' or TFTP Software Upgrade' then 'Enter.' The Software Upgrade Screen will appear.
Select '1' or TFTP Software Upgrade, then 'Enter.' Reference Figure 4-32.
4.11.2 Remote Unit Download
To perform a Remote Unit Download, the local unit must already have the new software installed. From the Software Upgrade
Menu, select '2' or Download Remote Unit, then 'Enter' to perform a Remote Unit Download. Reference Figure 4-32. Refer to
Appendix B for detailed instructions on how to perform this upgrade.
