System 'Diagnostics' can be accessed from the main menu, selection 3.

PING

PING can be set to send a specific number of PINGs (from 1 to 256) or to PING continuously. From the Diagnostics Menu
select '1' or PING, then 'Enter.' Type in the IP Address to PING, then press 'Enter.' A screen will appear which references the
PING Address to PING. You will then be prompted to enter the PING count, '1 to 256' or '0 = forever.' Enter the desired PING
count then press 'Enter.' Reference Figure 4-30.

"PING response received . . ." indicates a successful PING.

"TIME-OUT: Unable to reach 192.9.200.80 [selected IP address to PING] . . ." indicates an unsuccessful PING as
referenced in Figure 4-30.

PING Continuously - From the Diagnostics Menu select '1' or PING, then 'Enter'. Type in the IP address for PING, then press
Enter. You will then be prompted to enter the PING count. When zero is entered for the PING count, the 3240S will PING
continuously or until the 'Esc' key is pressed (note that in Figure 4-30, "Press Esc to stop" is prompted prior to PING count
status). The results of a successful PING will continuously scroll down the screen, and the results of an unsuccessful PING
are referenced in Figure 4-30.
