3.2 Interface Module Setup Switches and Jumpers

This refers to any setup jumpers that are on the I/O circuit board itself, or any switch that is accessible via the rear panel of
the Interface Module Card (I/O) and not on the main chassis.

3.2.1 T1X - I/O Card Setup Switches and Jumpers

All customer configurable jumpers are located on the main PC board of the I/O card. All external I/O card switches are located
to the left of the respective ports.

3.2.1.1 Internal Jumpers and Switches

The Time Slot Jumper, Line Coding, and Line Build out Switches must be set to match the application requirements. Refer to
Section 2.3.1, "Model T1X 4-Port I/O Card," in Chapter 2 for further details on these these jumpers and switches.

3.2.1.2 External Switch

The I/O Port Mode (MODE) Switch is normally set to the NOR position. Refer to Section 2.3.1, "Model T1X 4-Port I/O Card,"
in Chapter 2 for further details on the function of this switch.

3.2.2 E1X - I/O Card Setup Switches and Jumpers

All customer configurable jumpers are located on the PC board of the I/O card. All external I/O card switches are located to
the left of the respective ports.

3.2.2.1 Internal Jumpers and Switches

The Time Slot Jumper and Line Coding Jumpers must be set to match the application requirements. Refer to Section 2.3.2,
"Model E1X 3-Port I/O Card," in Chapter 2 for further details these jumpers and switches.

3.2.2.2 External Switch

The I/O Port Mode (MODE) Switch is normally set to the NOR position. Refer to Section 2.3.2, "Model E1X 3-Port I/O Card,"
in Chapter 2 for a further details on the function of this switch.

3.2.3 MDSO - I/O Card Setup Switches and Jumpers

All customer configurable jumpers are located on the PC board of the I/O card. All external I/O card switches are located to
the left of the respective ports.

3.2.3.1 Internal Jumpers and Switches

The Time Slot Switch, Speed Setting Switches, and the 56K/64K Setting Jumpers must be set to match the application
requirements. Refer to Section 2.3.3, "Model MDSO 4-Port Unmanaged I/O Card," in Chapter 2 for a detailed description on
the setup of these switches and jumpers.

3.2.3.2 External Switch

The I/O Port Mode (MODE) Switch is normally set to the NOR position. Refer to Section 2.3.3, "Model MDSO 4-Port I/O
Card," in Chapter 2 for further details on the function of this switch.
