Parameters for the parallel port includes:
• Serial Printer Setup --> Printer 1 : Sets serial port 1’s parameters.
--> Printer 2 (optional): Sets serial port 2’s parameters.
Note: The number of printers to configure depends on the number of serial ports on the
FastPort.
Parameters for the serial port includes:

10.4.5SMB Config.
There are a series of choices that can be selected to configure FastPort for a
SMB network, including:
• SMB Config. --> HP DLC : Enables/disables HP’s DLC protocol.Default: Disabled .
--> SMB Enabled : Enables/disables SMB protocol. Default: Enabled .
--> SMB Names : Sets the SMB workgroup and unique identification. Default:
Disabled .
--> SMB Share Names : Sets the aliases of the printer port. Default: Disabled
