Modem / Port Setup

This tab pertains to the settings for the communications port COM1. If
connected to a modem, the default settings (Baud Rate = 19200, Parity =
None, 8 Data bits, 1 Stop bit,) should be sufficient.

Flow Control:

Hardware:

Uses RTS/CLS handshake to control the flow
of data between the modem and Visara. The
cable between the modem and the Visara
needs to support hardware flow control. This
is the default setting.

Software:

Uses XON/XOFF handshake to control the
flow of data between the modem and Visara.

None:

There is no handshake between the modem
and the Visara.
